I got a call at 3 o' clock this AM. She woke up, had to go to the bathroom and decided to test. The test was negative. The nurse at the RE's office said to test again on Saturday. I get the idea in theory, but I'm wondering if there is any hope that the test would be positive then. Humm.....

Crap. I'm so sorry. It is worth testing again though. All of those test have different thresholds for hcg detection. Here is a good list of hpts. http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hpt.html
