Looking for Help

I am in the market for a first year memory book.  You would think this wouldn't be a huge challenge, but so far it has been.  Yogi is into his fourth month now and I need to get going on this.  If you've found a book you like, please leave a comment.  Here's an idea of what I'm looking for:

  • Applicable to our family.  AKA limited or at least easily modifiable references to Daddy.

  • Attractive.  I know it's a baby book, but I would rather it not look as though it was cranked through the cheesy baby factory.

  • Space for both journaling and pictures.

Ideas??

We love our baby books, though I've been writing in them like I've been commenting and blogging... Oops.

Here is the description. They carry them at Pacifier in Minneapolis. There are pics on their website, but I could send you more if you wanted to know about something specific.

Baby, Baby - A Modern Baby Book
A fresh and contemporary keepsake for modern parents, this luxury baby book is designed for many types of families, including biological, adoptive, and non-traditional.

Rather than limiting the scope of the book with terms like "mommy" and "daddy," the book simply uses the word "parent." The page titled "First Glimpse" has a photo border for "sonogram, adoption or belly photo" and entries for "We found out you were coming on," "You are _____ weeks/months old" and "You are expected on _____" -- all noteworthy events relevant to both biological and adoptive families.

Baby Baby also has no religious associations. Pages such as "A Celebration for You" allows parents to describe their baby's special day under headings such as, "How we celebrated," "Where we celebrated," "Who we celebrated with," "What you wore" and "Your reactions to the day." Likewise, a series of four "Holidays and Special Days" pages are depicted by season and do not reference specific holidays. The subhead on those pages says, "Places you went, people you saw, things you did."

Baby Baby combines a modern sensibility - a square shape and fresh, non-traditional baby colors - with sweet, vintage-inspired imagery.

Features:
48 pages with timeless imagery
12 uniquely built-in photo album pages
spans from the time baby is expected to kindergarten
sewn binding allows pages to lay flat and stay intact
sewn-in spacers enable the photo album section to hold its shape and provide room for photos and cards
acid-free and 100% archival quality paper
includes two keepsake envelopes, 84 photo corners and five slide-in photo sleeves
60 pages, natural page color
Made in Minneapolis, MN

Dimensions: 9.75 x 9.75 inches

p.s. To make up for lost time: OMG he is beautiful, those shoes are hot, congrats on the new place, oh girl you'd better knock on some wood - sleeping through the night?! Would Yogi mind talking with my girls? and, seriously, Yogi is adorable! xo

www.ourworldourfamily.com - baby book for two moms. Our book is made of thick card stock, has places for pictures and comments. more like a traditional baby book in that it has places to put, what was going on in the world, firsts, and it goes thru kindergarden like a "traditional" baby book would.

We just bought "My Family My Journey". Very customizable.
